RECO Privacy Policy
Effective October 26, 2026 ยท Applies to the RECO iOS app (TestFlight beta)
The short version
RECO keeps your data on your phone. The app has no account, no server and no analytics. Nothing you enter leaves your device unless you choose to share a report.
What the app stores
- Your setup answers: injury type, injury or surgery date, sport, whether you see a physical therapist, your goal and an optional first name.
- What you log: activities and intensity, pain ratings and what you were doing, morning check-ins (pain and swelling), and your answers to the next-morning "Did it settle?" question.
- Settings such as whether the PT plan reminder is on.
- During the beta, a built-in set of sample data used for demonstration.
This is stored in the app's private storage on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
What leaves your device
- Reports you share. When you tap "Share with PT", the app hands a plain-text summary to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there (Messages, Mail, AirDrop) is your choice and is governed by that app.
- Nothing else. RECO does not send your data to us or to any third party.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, RECO schedules local reminders on your device (for example, the morning after you log pain). These are created and delivered by iOS on the phone; no notification service receives your data.
TestFlight
Beta builds are distributed through Apple TestFlight. Apple may collect crash logs and usage statistics for beta apps under its own terms and share them with us in aggregated form. See Apple's TestFlight terms for details.
Health information and medical disclaimer
Pain, swelling and activity entries are health-related information you choose to enter. RECO tracks movement and what you log. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and does not replace your physical therapist or physician. RECO is not a medical device.
Children
RECO is intended for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If the app ever adds accounts, sync or analytics, this policy will be updated before that version ships and the effective date above will change.
